SKY.fm Radio is responsible for one of the most active streaming Internet radio services.

We stream Gigabits per second worth of data 24/7 and this is an extremely expensive effort.

Without other companies big and small donating bandwidth, no amount of advertising or subscriptions is enough to cover all the expenses.

We always need more bandwidth - like right now!

While you were reading this, some free servers were full and listeners were not able to get in. This makes many people very sad, and it makes us sad too.



Businesses and ISPs - Can You Help Us?

General Requirements for Donations

• 30 to 300+ mbits/sec of Global Transit
  
  
• Willing to host a simple relay process for us, or provide a dedicated server. At higher commits we can ship our own server if you'd like.
  
  
• Server needs to be up 99.9% of the time.
  
  
• If you measure your box traffic in GB instead of mbits/second, then this is not a good fit, we'll use too much bandwidth.

• Audio ads for your company produced and regularly played on our channels. The more you donate, the more channels and more often we'll play them.
  
  
• A warm and fuzzy feeling that you are enabling thousands to enjoy great music for free.
  

We May Buy Bandwidth Too - if there's a load of it cheaply!

• If you have 300mbits to 1Gb+ to spare, please read this.
  
  
• For these bulk quantities we can pay a small per mbit fee. It's not the market price, but it may help your company's bottom line temporarily until commit level is reached by other customers.
  
  
• Usually the price we can pay in these cases is no more than $2/mbit on a 95% billing method.
  
  
• We require a dual or quad-core server to be setup for us, or we may ship ours to you if the commit is for a long enough term.
  
  
• Unfortunately we cannot pay for small bandwdith donationssmaller amounts, as the amount of micromanagement for each smaller donation defeats the objective of cost savings.
