With its roots deep in the ambient world, the music of the Chillout Channel is crafted for rest and relaxation. Much of it is moody, down-tempo with slow beats. There are a few different styles under the Chillout umbrella. Psychedelic Chillout has many ethnic influences, weird sound effects and a great relaxing aura to chill with. Representative artists are Shpongle and Infected Mushroom, amongst others - artists whom you may also know from the Goa scene.

Another style of chillout is known as Euphoric Chillout. It includes artists such as Solar Stone, Blank & Jones and Zilent Zpott. A frequent Trance Channel listener would likely find this familiar and equally enjoyable.
