The Classic Rap channel is Sky.fm's very own blend of classic rap from the 80's to modern works of the 90's, and even some current hip hop tracks.

Rap is a fairly new genre with roots in the 1970s, but it was the 80's and early 90's which propelled rap into the mainstream and along with it, it's own hip hop culture.

80's artists that you will hear include Run DMC, Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J. With the golden era of the early 90's, you will hear both East Coast and West Coast styles, and finally modern day hip hop artists like Jay-Z and Eminem.

Brand new radio show premiers with DJ Rowdy and The Villian

The Vinyl Hour is hosted by DJ Rowdy & The Villain and is brought to you exclusively on the Classic Rap channel right here on SKY.fm. The name of the show is derived from the fact that they only use Vinyl! The mix is split into 2 parts; DJ Rowdy plays the first half, and The Villain closes it off. They fuse instrumentals and accapella's and their style is unique. All the shows are recorded live in the studio or from one of their parties.
